I'm not sure where I heard it but I heard it today.

" I don't care about politics..." and " I don't give a shit about the war in Iraq".

What does that mean? We have all heard people say it. Usually I just blow it off. I look at the person and move on. No harm no foul. I still can't figure why this time it has stuck with me.

Is it possible to be passionate about anything in today's world and not have some reaction to politics? Is it possible to not care? When someone asks you about politics or social issues is it possible to not have an opinion? What sort of person looks around at where we are and how we got here and shrugs their shoulders?

I know they exist. They call me on the phone sometimes. I usually check out after of a couple of sentences and.....shrug my shoulders.

On a side note I was on Myspace looking for some new music....

I found out Rites Of Spring has a Myspace. So does Samiam, Quicksand , Jets To Brazil and Jawbox.

I listened to all of it. I laughed at myself and turned on CNN.
